Comments:  This segment of trail seemed to run mostly uphill going in this direction. We lost the trail a few times at street crossings and, most significantly, within Badger Prairie County Park.  We ended up running quite a way on the paved Ice Age Junction Trail (I think) before realizing we had made a wrong turn.  We backtracked to Reddan Soccer Complex and kept heading north from there.  Portions of this segment were beautiful.  We ran through a small stand of pine trees cushioned by fallen needles, scrambled down a stone staircase, and shook a narrow, curving boardwalk heading thorough a small marshland.  However, neither Valerie nor I felt especially good (I think the temperature might have something to do with it.  I'm just not used to cold weather running yet) and we were both disappointed that one portion of this segment that was marked as trail was just a strip of dirt along County Highway M (either that or we lost the trail at that point).  We didn't see any noteworthy wildlife--but I think we saw a deer's sleeping spot off to one side of the trail.
